Griffin Oakes Named to Lou Groza Watchlist

Griffin Oakes

has been named to the watch list for the 2016 Lou Groza Collegiate Place-Kicker Award, the Palm Beach County Sports Commission announced today. Oakes is one of just three Big Ten kickers and 30 overall recognized on the list.

In 2015, Oakes became the first Hoosier named the Big Ten's akken-Andersen Kicker of the Year and the first IU kicker to earn first team All-Big Ten honors since Austin Starr (2007).

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. – Senior quarterback Nate Sudfeld was named the 2015 Anthony Thompson Most Valuable Player at the Indiana football banquet on Friday evening. Sudfeld, right guard Dan Feeney, defensive end Nick Mangieri, linebacker Marcus Oliver, bandit Zack Shaw and left tackle Jason Spriggs were recognized as the 2015 team captains.
