Indiana WR Ricky Jones Added to Biletnikoff Award Watch List

Indiana has the top offense in the conference after the first four weeks of the season, and the accolades are starting to pile up. The most recent is for Indiana wide receiver Ricky Jones, who was added to the Biletnikoff Award Watch List on Tuesday.

Jones is the Hoosiers leading receiver with 18 catches for 411 yards and three touchdowns. He is averaging 22.8 yards per catch and 102.8 yards per game. He set career highs in the season opener against Southern Illinois with six catches for 186 yards and a touchdown.

Quarterback Nate Sudfeld Named As a Semifinalist for the Campbell Trophy

Indiana senior quarterback was announced as one of 135 semi-finalists for the 2015 William V. Campbell Trophy, which recognizes an individual as the absolute best football scholar-athlete in the nation. Sudfled has led the Hoosiers to their first 3-0 start since 2010. He has completed 63 percent of his passes for 938 yards with seven total touchdowns and just one interception. 

The NFF will announce 15 finalists on Oct. 29, and each of them will receive an $18,000 postgraduate scholarship as a member of the NFF National Scholar-Athlete Class, presented by Fidelity Investments.

Over the first three games of his brief career at IU, safety Jonathan Crawford has already has made a major impact in the Hoosier secondary. This week he war rewarded for his two interception, four tackle performance in IU's 38-35 win over WKU by being named the Big Ten's Co-Freshman of the Week.

Crawford is the first Hoosier to win this honor since linebacker Tegray Scales won it last year after his performance in IU's upset win at Missouri. He is also the first true freshman since Mitchell Evans to record two interceptions in a game. On the season Crawford is third on the team in tackles (18) and first in interceptions (2).

It will have been 233 days since we saw the Buckeyes knock off the Oregon Ducks down in Arlington, Texas in the inaugural College Football Playoff National Championship. IU Offensive Lineman Dan Feeney Named to Rotary Lombardi Watch List

Heading into the 2015 most people figured that the offensive line was going to be a major strength for the Hoosiers. The man anchoring that line is junior Dan Feeney.

On Tuesday morning Dan Feeney was named to the Rotary Lombardi Award Watch List. In order to be eligible for the Rotary Lombardi Award a player has to be a down linemen, end-to-end, either on offense or defense, who set up no farther than 10 yards to the left or right of the ball, or linebackers who set up no farther than five yards deep from the line of scrimmage. The candidates earned a place on the preliminary Watch List by earning All-American honors, being named to their respective all-conference teams or receiving 2015 preseason honors.
