The Big Ten conference announced Monday morning that Indiana freshman linebacker Tegrey Scales earn a share of the Big Ten Freshman of the Week Award. Scales, was instrumental in the Hoosiers' 31-27 upset win at 18th ranked Missouri on Saturday. He made five tackles and a sack. On the season Scales has 17 tackles, 1.5 TFL's, and a sack. Scales was a three star recruit out of Cincinnati, Ohio and ranked as the 24th best player in the state.

Former Walk-on Rahrig Named to Remington Award Watch List

Now, as a fifth year senior Rahrig is finally being recognized for his contributions on the field and his hard work off the field, as he was named to the Remington award watch list. The award is presented annually to college football’s most outstanding center. While this is a great honor for anyone it will surely be appreciated more from someone who had to earn a scholarship as a former walk-on.

26 Hoosiers Receive Academic All-Big Ten Honors

The Indiana Hoosiers football team had a program record of 26 players receive Academic All-Big Ten honors.  In his three years in Bloomington Head Coach Kevin Wilson has produced 72 Academic All-Big Ten players.  This is the most ever over a three-year span at IU.  In order to qualify for this honor a student-athlete must have at least a 3.0 GPA and be in their second academic year at that particular school.  Here is a list of the honorees.
